Instagram: Storyscape
A 3-minute installation piece by Es Devlin for the Cannes Lions Festival, exploring the history of storytelling from cave markings right through to Instagram Stories.
The bespoke structure was made up of mirrored walls and ceiling and featured 242 windows, 51 screens, 4 projectors and 24 speakers, immersing the audience in a world of content, projection and spatial audio.
res.lab composed the evocative soundtrack to the piece, made up of original music, sound design and choral vocals. We also worked with audio supplier RossCo on the design of the bespoke playback system to make full use of the 24 multi-speaker spatial sound mix.
Storyscape won Gold at the Experience Design & Technology Awards in 2018
